
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 30, 2025: To develop scientific thinking among students and to encourage hidden creative ideas and innovations, the Central and State Governments are making efforts. Every year, the Central Government conducts a national-level talent search examination called “Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM)” to enable students to excel in research experiments.
This talent search exam is being organised jointly under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), NCERT, the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), and Vigyan Bharati. The exam is conducted for students studying from Class 6 to Intermediate First Year. The meritorious students in this exam will get opportunities for internships and scholarships in India’s premier research institutions.
Applications Invited
Applications are invited from students interested in participating in the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan entrance examination. The online registration process has already started and will close on October 30, 2025. The entrance exam will be conducted online at the school level. For this, students must pay a fee of ₹200 and register their details on the official VVM website (www.vvm.org.in). On the day of the exam, students can attend the test either from home or at school in online mode.
Examination Pattern
The VVM Talent Test will be conducted separately for students from Classes 6 to 11. The exam will be available in Telugu, Hindi, English, and other Indian languages, and students can choose the language of their preference.
Mock tests will begin on September 1st.
The main school-level examination will be held from October 28 to 30.
Students who qualify will attend the Level-2 exam on November 19, which will be conducted online under proctoring (with invigilators monitoring).
The exam will be completely objective.
Level-1 Main Exam: 100 questions for each class.
Section A: Contribution of Indian scientists in the field of science, e.g., the life history of Satyendranath Bose.
Section B: Questions related to Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as per the respective class syllabus (Classes 6–11).
Level-2 Exam: 50 questions for 100 marks.
Selection to State Level
From the school-level exam, the top 25 students from each class will be selected. From Classes 6–11, a total of 150 students will be chosen for the state-level competition. From them, three students per class (18 in total) will be selected for the national level.
At the state level, the First, Second, and Third prizes will carry cash awards of ₹5000, ₹3000, and ₹2000 respectively, along with a memento and certificate.
Selection to National Level Competitions
From the state-level winners, the top two students from each class (12 students per state) will be selected for the national-level competition. Out of them, the top three students from each class (18 in total) will be declared as national winners.
National Level Prizes:
1st Prize: ₹25,000
2nd Prize: ₹15,000
3rd Prize: ₹10,000
Along with a memento and certificate
Plus, a monthly Bhaskar Scholarship of ₹2000 for one year
The national winners of VVM 2025–26 will get the opportunity for a special training and internship program for 1–3 weeks at reputed research institutions such as DRDO, ISRO, CSIR, BARC, etc.
Today, under the leadership of DEO Smt. Chaitanya Jain, the VVM brochure was launched. The event was attended by Academic Officer Ashok Reddy, District Science Officer Jaipal Reddy, Planning Office Srinivas, District VVM coordinator B.Odelu Kumar, DCB Secretary Swadesh Kumar, Headmasters Bhagavantayya and Anjaneyulu, Bujan Chandar, along with several science teachers.
