

WARANGAL, AUGUST 06, 2025: Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous) organised its first Faculty Forum meeting featuring a comprehensive lecture programme on the theme: “The Role, Responsibilities, and Opportunities for Teachers in Autonomous Colleges.” The event was presided over by the college principal, Professor G. Srinivas. Faculty Forum Coordinator M. Ravinder welcomed the guests to the stage and outlined the details of the programme.
During the session, the principal introduced the newly constituted Faculty Forum members to the faculty, followed by a group photograph with the committee. In his address, he elaborated on the significance of the Faculty Forum and the responsibilities teachers must uphold in the context of autonomous institutions. He emphasised the need to adapt teaching methods to evolving academic and social circumstances and urged faculty to conduct counselling sessions that encourage and support students from marginalised communities.
A. Srinath, IQAC Coordinator, and E. Komuraiah, Additional Controller of Examinations, delivered keynote addresses. Using detailed PowerPoint presentations, they spoke about the unique conditions in autonomous colleges, the roles teachers are expected to play, UGC regulations, curriculum design, and the conduct of examinations. Vice Principal Indira Devi congratulated the Faculty Forum for initiating such a meaningful and timely programme.
Faculty Forum Convener Adama Srinivas Reddy explained the forum’s objectives, highlighting its role in fostering professionalism among faculty, facilitating academic discussions, and nurturing institutional culture. He emphasised the importance of the Faculty Forum as a platform for sustaining and enhancing the quality of the institution. He also introduced the newly designed logo of the Faculty Forum, explaining how it symbolically represents the various activities and values upheld by the forum. He encouraged all faculty members to actively participate in future initiatives and contribute to the college’s academic vibrancy.
Senior faculty member P. Sayilu shared insights from his professional journey, offering reflections and guidance to fellow educators. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 70 faculty members, including Professor Krishnayya, Vasam Srinivas, Gangishetti Srinivas, Vijayalakshmi, Samatha, Ghansingh, Chinna, Rajashekar, Pallavi, Veeranna, Ramesh, Prasoon, Sandhya, Gauri, Bharat, Praveen, Dinakar, Srikanth, and Ram Bhaskar.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Faculty Forum member Swami, marking the end of a productive and inspiring academic gathering.
