HYDERABAD, JULY 06, 2025: Officials of the Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, seized Spurious Drug (Counterfeit Version) ‘Levipil 500’ Tablets (Levetiracetam Tablets 500 mg), falsely claimed to be manufactured by Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd.
During the raids conducted by the DCA based on gathered intelligence, a counterfeit version of ‘Levipil 500’ Tablets was detected circulating in the market at Kavadiguda, Hyderabad, and at Karimnagar. Counterfeit drugs were seized during the raids at Arvind Pharma Distributors, located in SBI Colony, Kavadiguda, Hyderabad, and at Venu Medical Agencies, located in Sai Nagar, Doctors Street, Karimnagar.
Levipil 500 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to treat fits in epilepsy.
