
HYDERABAD, JUNE 20,,2025: In a spirited and health-conscious celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga, students of classes 1 and 2 of Sister Nivedita School, Ameertpet, Hyderabad, marked the occasion with inspiring events that blended physical fitness, mental well‑being, and community engagement—strongly echoing this year’s theme, *“Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”*
Yoga Day in school isn’t just symbolic, it actively supports physical health, mental wellness and a boost to academic engagement through integrated learning.
Embracing Wellness, the students of classes 1 and 2 celebrated International Yoga Day in a fun and engaging way. The children enthusiastically performed various yoga asanas with great discipline and energy. Their movements were graceful, balanced, and well-coordinated, reflecting their focus and flexibility. The young learners demonstrated each asana with confidence and cheerful expression. The programme was concluded with a vibrant and graceful dance yoga performance. Seamlessly blending rhythmic movements with traditional yoga postures, they performed with energy, elegance, and perfect coordination. Each step was synced with soothing music, making the presentation both captivating and refreshing. The performance highlighted the flexibility, balance, and mind-body connection that yoga promotes. It was truly heartwarming to watch the young performers express the essence of yoga through creative movement and joyful expressions.
The principal of the school Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari ma’am encouraged the children’s enthusiasm and emphasized this year’s theme *“Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” that caring for our health naturally leads to caring for Earth’s environment- a core principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ( “ the world is one family”) and wished everyone Happy International yoga day.
The chairman of the school Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani Sir and the correspondent of the school Rtn. M. Hari Hara Prasad extended their wishes and advised everyone to make yoga a daily part of their lives.
