
HYDERABAD, JUNE 20, 2025: As a prelude to the International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated on June 21, the students of the Primary Wing, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, enthusiastically celebrated the International Yoga Day to instill the importance of physical fitness and mental alertness among the students on Friday.
This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ aligns yoga practice with global sustainability and personal wellbeing. The students demonstrated various asanas and spread the message that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of life which helps to enhance physical and mental development. The main highlight of the programme was when the young enthusiasts put up a beautiful show of forming the pattern of ‘I LOVE YOGA’ using Vajrasna and Shashankasna, displaying their creativity and teamwork.
The students also celebrated World Music Day, celebrating their musical talents. The children sang melodious songs and mesmerised the audience. The students were made aware of the importance of music in their lives and how it makes their lives beautiful.
The chairman of the school, Dr.Sudhakar Rao Polasani, the correspondent of the school, Rotarian Harihara Prasad and the Principal, Dr. Lalitha Kumari, applauded and appreciated the efforts made by the students, encouraging them to incorporate yoga and music into their lives.
