First, the Octopus forces entered the temple in three groups from the premises of the District Forest Department office near Kapila Theertham in a strategic and coordinated manner and demonstrated how to protect the devotees through a mock drill on Friday evening.
The TTD Vigilance and Security, Civil Police, Bomb Squad, Reserve personnel, Medical, Fire personnel, Revenue and Traffic personnel were thoroughly briefed on how to deal with a terrorist attack in this mock drill, which continued for about two hours.
A total of 40 Octopus commandos, 10 TTD Vigilance personnel, 15 police personnel, 13 AR personnel, 12 medical personnel, Fire, Armed, Bomb Squad, Electrical, Water and Gas department personnel participated in this mock drill under the supervision of Octopus DSP Sri Madhusudhan Rao.
