KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 19, 2025: The Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), Karimnagar, celebrated its annual day titled ‘Utsav-2025’ with much pomp and gaiety on Saturday night.
The event was graced by Additional Collector Praful Desai and Prof V Kamakshi Prasad, Director, Research & Development, JNTU Hyderabad, as the Guest of Honour. Their inspiring speeches encouraged students to embrace innovation, leadership, and social responsibility while pursuing academic and professional excellence.
In his keynote address, Mr Praful Desai emphasised the importance of holistic education and lauded the institution’s efforts in nurturing not just engineers and professionals but responsible citizens of the future.
Prof. V Kamakshi Prasad, a close academic associate of the institution, applauded the consistent progress Jyothishmathi has made in both academics and research. He appreciated the institution’s efforts in aligning with national educational priorities and fostering a research-driven learning culture.
The event began with the presentation of the Annual Report by Anil Kumar, Principal, Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science, highlighting the academic achievements, placements, research output, and co-curricular excellence of the past year.
The gathering was presided over by J Sagar Rao, Chairman, who shared his vision for the future of the institution and reiterated the management’s commitment to continuous improvement in academic quality and infrastructure. Mr J Sumith Sai, Secretary & Correspondent, extended their wishes to all on this occasion.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of inter-collegiate technical and sports competitions and intra-college cultural contests were felicitated with trophies, medals, and certificates. The events saw enthusiastic participation from students across the region, promoting healthy competition, creativity, and teamwork.
Utsav 2025 was not just a celebration of achievements but a vibrant display of the talent, unity, and spirit that defines the Jyothishmathi student community. The celebrations concluded with colourful cultural performances by students, showcasing their artistic flair through music, dance, drama, and fashion, leaving the audience enthralled.
