
GAJWEL, JANUARY 29, 2025: The placement cell of the government Degree College for women, Gajwel started a seven-day training programme for students on employability skills in association with Magic Bus India Foundation and Reliance India Foundation.
The program was inaugurated by the principal Prof Anitha Abraham. Speaking on the occasion, the principal called upon the students to upgrade their employability skills to compete in the corporate world for securing employment. She emphasized on five Cs—courage, creativity, calmness, compassion and character and added that ‘These are not just relevant for the day-to-day life of students but also for building careers in different fields”.
Placement officer Shobha Rani said that the seven-day training programme is embedded with a skill set comprising communication skills, soft skills, teamwork, critical thinking problem solving, resume building and mock interviews. The training is going to be imparted to 70 students in the final year. The Magic Bus trainer B Rohini, vice principal Kamala Christiana, IQAC coordinator, faculty members M.M Laxmi, Murlidhar, Jaya Raju, Veeraiah, Bala Chandar computer faculty Anwar, and Swarna were present.
