CHENNAI, DECEMBER 14, 2024: The incessant torrential rain in Cuddalore District for the past week has grappled several parts of the district inundated, causing severe disruptions to the daily routine life of the people. NLC India Limited (NLCIL), based on the request of the district administration, swiftly deployed 2 industrial pumps of 15 HP and another pump of 25 HP along with necessary equipment and manpower in the severely affected areas, intending to dewater the flood and for helping the district administration to restore normalcy.
A dedicated team from NLCIL started dewatering activity in the most severely affected areas in KN Pettai apart from other areas in the Cuddalore District ensuring efficient execution of the flood relief work. It is worth noting that these powerful motor pumps, used in NLCIL Lignite Mines, are capable of pumping out stagnant water at a high rate and will ensure clearing the stagnant water quickly in the waterlogged areas.
By standing with the affected communities, NLCIL once again reiterates its commitment towards its Social Responsibility and is being a reliable partner in times of crisis, demonstrating resilience and dedication to public welfare.
