

KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 30, 2024:  Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, was abuzz with excitement as students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate Diwali with immense joy and enthusiasm on Wednesday. The festivities began early in the morning with a special assembly where students shared the significance of Diwali, highlighting the festival’s rich cultural history and the victory of light over darkness.
The event continued with vibrant performances, including traditional dances, a skit on the story of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, and an energetic Diwali song performed by the school choir. The students dressed in colorful traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.
One of the main attractions was the diya decoration where students displayed their creativity with beautifully decorated clay lamps. The school’s corridors and classrooms were adorned with diyas, lanterns, and bright, colorful decorations prepared by the students themselves, giving the entire school a radiant glow.
In an effort to promote an eco-friendly Diwali, students gave speeches about the harmful effects of firecrackers and encouraged everyone to celebrate the festival in a safe and pollution-free manner.
Principal Mrs Renuka Balivada expressed pride in the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, saying, “Diwali is not just a festival; it is a reminder of the importance of unity, peace, and happiness. Seeing the students come together to celebrate this festival in such a meaningful way fills us with hope and pride.”
The Diwali celebration at Vivekananda Residential School not only brought the school community together but also instilled values of kindness, unity, and respect for traditions, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. The Chairman, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, and the Director of Academics, Dr. Lalitha Kumari, commended the students and teachers for their enthusiasm and festive spirit. They extended their heartfelt wishes to all parents and staff.
