KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 28, 2024: BJP Senior leader Polsani Sugunakar Rao has exuded confidence that that the party high command would allocate party ticket to contest the ensuing legislative council elections from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said that he had campaigned rigorously educating the graduates about the importance of enrolment as voters for the MLC elections in all the integrated Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak districts. He said that he had covered 40 assembly segments and six parliament constituency. Alleging that the earlier elected MLCs from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency had worked for their own selfish gains and did not raise any issues pertaining to the graduates, employees, teachers and others, he said that he would become the voice of the Graduates in the Legislative Council and would be available for the service of society 24×7.
On the other hand, he alleged that the Congress party had betrayed the farming community by making several promises before elections. He charged that the government had opened procurement centres, but they are not procuring the paddy from the farmers and added that the farmers were forced to resort to distress sale at lesser than the MSP to the millers. He also alleged that the government had colluded with millers and not procuring the farmers produce.
He also alleged that the government had failed to fulfill the promise of crop loans to all the farmers. The Congress had also not given rythu bandhu and rythu barosa to the farmers. BJP leaders Durgam Maruti, Devender Rao, Harikumar Goud, Brahmam, Anand, Kishore, Tirupati, Jitender, Narahari, Satyanarayana, Pabba Tirupati and others were also present.
