
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 09, 2024: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in association with Karimnagar district MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) conducted a stakeholder’s conclave in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
Participating as Chief Guest Karimnagar Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty said that the BIS should ensure that every consumer should be aware of his rights and create more awareness programme to check irregularities and malpractices by the traders.
On this occasion, the initiative aims to promote scientific knowledge and understanding among the participants including Consumer activities through the concepts of quality and standards. The training was imparted to participants through brief presentations on an overview on BIS activities covering standardization, certification schemes, testing, training and standards promotion activities. Participants will also be familiarized with features of the BIS website, e-BIS, Care App and Manak Rath – the online exchange forum for accessing and using the information related to quality, standards, detailed presentations on the scientific laws and principles with examples from products of day to- day life and their relationship with quality and standards.
