
PEDDAPALLI, OCTOBER 09, 2024: The grand Durga Puja celebrations at NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana began with Shashti Puja on 8th October 2024 at Chacha Nehru Park. The festivities kicked off with the traditional pooja of Maa Durga’s idol, followed by the soulful Sandhya Aarti, conducted under the leadership of Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu, ED (R&T) and Dr. Chinmoyee Das, President, (Deepthi Mahila Samithi. Their devotion set the tone for the spiritual atmosphere that followed.
In his address, Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu extended heartfelt Durga Puja greetings to the NTPC family, encouraging employees and their families to immerse themselves in the joyous celebrations. He highlighted the importance of such cultural events in promoting unity and strengthening the bond within the NTPC community.
Beyond just celebrating Durga Puja, NTPC Ramagundam, through its Unified Festival Committee, is bringing together the diverse cultural traditions of India under one roof. The ongoing celebrations will feature Bathukamma from the Telangana, Sindoor Khela from the East, the grand Pandal Pooja, Ravan Dahan & Ramleela of the North, and the vibrant Garba-Dandiya from the West. This unique initiative reflects the spirit of unity in diversity, with NTPC representing the cultural fabric of the entire nation.
From 8th to 12th October 2024, the NTPC family will celebrate Durga Puja in various forms, honouring traditions from different parts of the country. This initiative serves as a beautiful reminder that NTPC is not only dedicated to powering the nation but also to nurturing India’s rich cultural heritage, ensuring that every employee feels a sense of belonging and pride.
Over 2,500 attendees attended the first day, which included a grand cultural program by the talented children of NTPC and the distribution of Bhandara Prasad to all. The vibrant performances and overwhelming participation set a joyful tone for the upcoming days of celebration, during which more cultural and religious activities will bring employees together.
With events like Bathukamma, Bomala Koluvu, Dandiya-Garba, and Sindoor Khela, Ravan Dahan & Ramleela, NTPC Ramagundam is truly creating a platform where all festivals of India are celebrated with equal enthusiasm, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and togetherness that is at the heart of its community efforts.
