KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 17, 2024: Collector Pamela Satpathy on Saturday formally inaugurated the state-of-the-art operating microscope at Lions Club of Karimnagar Dr Bhaskar Madhekar charitable eye hospital in Rekurthi in Karimnagar town.
On this occasion, the Collector visited various departments in the charitable eye hospital and appreciated the management for the proper maintenance and hygiene in the hospital. She congratulated the Lions club charitable eye hospital for their noble service to the poor people by providing quality medical assistance.
Lions club chairman Konda Venu Murthy said that they were providing quality medical assistance through modern equipment’s on par with corporate hospitals of Hyderabad at an affordable cost. Stating that they were conducting cataract operations at cheaper rates, he said that they were also conducting free cataract operations for the poor patients and free transportation and food at the hospital.
He said that they were regularly conducting eye testing camps in the rural areas and also in all the government educational institutions frequently. He said that the charitable hospital was providing treatment for cataract, retina, glaucoma and other eye ailments. Lions secretary Prakash Holla, EC members T Muralidhar Rao, Kola Anna Reddy, Raagi Srinivas and others were also present.
