HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 13, 2024: Hindi Diwas was celebrated by the Tiny Tots of Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, with lots of enthusiasm on Friday.
On this occasion, a special morning assembly was organised in the school in which children performed a prayer and other activities in Hindi. Children dressed up like famous poets like Surdass, MeeraBai , Kabir Das and Tulasi Das and rendered their famous quotes. Children highlighted the importance of Hindi language by presenting a short play on this occasion, while the Hindi teachers described Hindi language as the identity of India and heritage of Indian culture.
Addressing the gathering Principal of the school Dr.T.Lalitha Kumari and Correspondent of the school Rtn.M.Hari Hara Prasad explained the children that Hindi is one of the most spoken languages and it is a symbol of unity in diversity and encouraged everyone ,on Hindi Diwas to take pledge to always strive to pay our language the respect that it deserves. They said that growing apathy towards Hindi could pose a threat to the very existence of our country. School chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani extended his greetings to the students and congratulated them for excellent performances.
Hindi Diwas is observed every year on 14thSeptember.This day is dedicated to the celebration of the Hindi language. On September 14th 1949, Constituent Assembly of India, made the decision to adopt Hindi, written in the Devanagari script, as one of the official languages of India. Hindi connects people from different communities and fosters a sense of identity.
